Reporting to the President BIH Americas, this role will support the structural design of new equipment and revamps of existing fired heaters, steam reformers, waste heat recovery units (WHRUs), stacks, and related process equipment serving the refining, petrochemical, syngas, and LNG industries.
At BIH, you'll work alongside recognised industry experts on some of the most challenging and rewarding projects in the global fired heater and thermal processing industry.
The core technical skills and experience we’re looking for are: -
- Proven experience designing custom engineered equipment and supporting structures for fired heaters, steam reformers, WHRUs, and related thermal processing equipment
- A PE Licence
- Strong proficiency with RISA-3D and STAAD
- Thorough knowledge of AISC and ASTM standards
- Experience designing fired heaters, waste heat recovery units (WHRUs), steam reformers, fired heater revamps, and similar lump-sum engineered equipment, with a strong understanding of design optimisation, structural efficiency, fabrication, constructability, and cost-conscious engineering
- Strong familiarity with API 560 and refinery, petrochemical, and energy industry specifications
- Ability to provide technical leadership while working directly with customers, sub-suppliers, fabricators, and multidisciplinary project teams
