The project involved fabrication of a Reformer Gas Transfer line, consisting of 5 sections in 1.25 Cr – 0.5 Mo. The finished product has a combined length of over 33m and is 1.5M in diameter. Due to the extreme service, the multilayer refractory lining, concentricity and overall alignment were critical aspects from a quality perspective and as such required multiple stage inspections.
Effective collaboration between the end user and BIH enabled all challenges to be effectively addressed and delivery commitments were met.
This follows a long list of SMR related projects executed by BIH in recent years to enhance and/or improve reliability for our clients.
